Deputy for the Orient of Illinois
The Illinois Council of Deliberation (ICOD) is the overseeing body for the Orient of Illinois of the United Supreme Council, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Northern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliated. The ICOD convenes annually under the leadership of the Deputy for the Orient. The Orient of Illinois currently consists of the following eight (8)Valleys - Carbondale, Chicago, East St. Louis, Joliet, Rock Island, Rockford, Springfield and Waukegan.
Each Valley serves as the home to a Consistory of Scottish Rite Masons and an Assembly of Loyal Ladies of the Order of the Golden Circle. Each Consistory is presided over by a Commander-In-Chief and each Assembly is presided over by a Loyal Lady Ruler. A State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler is elected yearly to oversee the affairs of the Assemblies. Under the leadership of the Deputy for the Orient, the State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler convenes the Illinois State Grand Assembly Order of the Golden Circle.
