Over 1,000,000 children are reported missing in the United States each year. While most are found, others are not as fortunate. Also, the abduction of children is under-reported and rapidly increasing in our society. This problem can no longer be ignored. The Illinois Child Identification Program, IL CHIP, is designed to give families a measure of protection against this ever increasing problem of child abduction.
IL CHIP is one of the most comprehensive child identification programs currently available to our communities. Working together, Illinois Freemasons, Eastern Stars, the Illinois State Police Amber Alert System and local authorities are attempting to make this program available to every Illinois family that wishes to participate. Through the Illinois Freemasons this service is free of charge to all participants.
The program consists of four (4) major components:
1. Still Photo
2. Videotaped Interview
3. Fingerprinting
4. DNA Cheek Swab
The Prince Hall Hope Benvelolent Fund is a 501c(3) tax deductable charity
